It is used to track the residents. I am looking to see whether they are using it for good, watching out for lousy internet sites, or the sites they should not be using.
• It gives what kind of site each computer has used.
• Provides the picture of the last site the computer was in.
• And the length of the time it was used.
• Overall usage of the whole class.
• Prevent a computer(s) from getting to a wrong site.
• Control what a computer can have an access or not.
• Control the length of time they can use.
It provides what kind of website each computer was used on, but it does not provide a way to control each computer's access to specific sites.

This helps us ensure that employees focus on high-value tasks and that our resources are utilized effectively. Security and Compliance: Problem Addressed: Protecting sensitive information and ensuring compliance with data security regulations.Scope: We use ActivTrak to monitor access to sensitive data and ensure that employees adhere to security protocols. Alerts are set up for any suspicious activity or access to restricted areas, helping us respond swiftly to potential threats. This is crucial for maintaining compliance with industry standards and protecting our organization from data breaches. Remote Work Management: Problem Addressed: Managing and supporting a remote workforce.Scope: With a significant portion of our team working remotely, ActivTrak helps us maintain visibility into remote work activities. ActivTrak is a versatile workforce analytics and productivity monitoring tool that can be very beneficial in various scenarios, but there are also situations where it might be less appropriate. Here are some specific examples for both: Well-Suited ScenariosRemote Workforce Management:Scenario: A company has many remote employees and wants to ensure productivity and accountability. Benefit: ActivTrak provides insights into how employees spend their time, allowing managers to identify productivity trends, detect unproductive behaviors, and provide targeted support to remote workers.Employee Training and Development:Scenario: An organization wants to identify training needs and measure the effectiveness of training programs.Benefit: By monitoring application usage and time spent on specific tasks, ActivTrak can highlight skill gaps and areas where employees might need additional training. It can also help evaluate if the training programs are effective by tracking productivity improvements. Compliance and Security Monitoring: Scenario: A company must ensure that employees comply with data security policies and do not engage in risky behaviors.Benefit: ActivTrak can monitor activities to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. It can alert managers to potential security breaches or policy violations, helping mitigate risks. Improving Workflow and Processes:Scenario: A business is looking to optimize workflows and improve operational efficiency.Benefit: ActivTrak provides detailed analytics on how work is done, helping managers identify process bottlenecks and inefficiencies. This data-driven approach enables better decision-making and process improvements. Less Appropriate ScenariosHigh Trust and Autonomy Cultures:Scenario: A company promotes a high trust and autonomy culture where employees are given significant freedom to manage their work. Concern: In such environments, monitoring tools like ActivTrak may be perceived as intrusive and counterproductive, potentially harming morale and trust.Creative and Intellectual Work:Scenario: An organization focuses on creative or intellectual work where the quality and outcome are more important than the process.Concern: Monitoring software may not capture the nuances of innovative methods and could create undue pressure on employees. Measuring productivity by time spent on applications or websites may not reflect the actual value of creative work. Privacy-Sensitive Environments:Scenario: A company operates in a region with strict privacy laws or highly emphasizes employee privacy.Concern: ActivTrak's monitoring capabilities may conflict with privacy regulations or the company's policies on employee privacy. It’s essential to ensure that such tools comply with legal and ethical standards. Small Teams or Startups:Scenario: A small team or startup where close collaboration and open communication are the norms.Concern: In smaller teams, direct communication and trust-based management might be more effective than monitoring software. Implementing ActivTrak in such environments might be seen as overkill and could lead to resistance or dissatisfaction. In summary, ActivTrak is best suited for larger organizations with remote workforces, compliance requirements, or a need to optimize workflows. However, it may be less appropriate in environments emphasizing trust, creativity, privacy, or minor, tightly-knit teams. The key is to align the use of ActivTrak with the company’s culture, values, and specific needs.

we use ActivTrak to track our employee's working hours and evaluate their workload and productivity. When organization is getting bigger and everyone is so busy on their own things, it is critical to have a system to be a fact checker to reflect which team has the most working hours and further, if the most working hours, it is caused by more business demand or just unnecessary processes internally, etc. and how to improve it.
• total screen hours tracking
• working hours details
• app usage
working hours tracking is well suited as we are a salary based company, working hours could be a good metric to measure employees' attitude and efforts spent on work.

so far didnt see any downside.

We are an Insurance Agency and have used ActivTrak to accomplish several things for our team. 1) To measure our team's workload. To make sure they are not running at maximum levels for long periods. 2) We use the screen capture as a backup to our E&O. We've had times that ActiveTrak captured confirmations from our carriers that changes have been made, only to find out later that the submissions didn't go through. The screen capture has provided proof that we did indeed process the change. 3) To help efficiency and workflows. Seeing how our team navigates through their work has allowed us to train and find better options for how they are doing work. It isn't only about getting more done but having our team spend less energy (emotional or physical) working through their daily tasks. and 4) tracking our team's performance as they work remotely. While we have a great team we can trust, it is good to verify and reward those who are performing well.
• Workload: Am I burning my team members out? Do I have team members who are "slacking" in relation to my other team members? Do I have an ALLSTAR that I need to recognize?
• Activity Breakdown: Where are they spending their time? Where do they get bogged down in getting tasks accomplished?
• Website Tracking - are they going to places they shouldn't during business hours?
• Ability to block websites or activities that aren't appropriate for the workplace.
• Onboarding: They seem to want to send you a bunch of "videos" as you deploy the software yourself and work through the configuration.
• I would love if they had some ready to implement configurations based on industry.
This is excellent software if you wonder what your team is doing when you aren't there. If you want to improve your team's workflows and efficiencies so they get more done with less fatigue, this is a great thing to have. This is not spyware. It isn't designed to capture keystrokes. It is designed to help your team improve performance and for management to understand what they are doing and help them improve. If you want to micromanage your team, then don't use this.

We use ActivTrak as a way to see what percentage of our employees time is being spent doing productive vs unproductive activies (ie work related vs personal internet usage). Since we are a hybrid workforce, we also use it as a secondary tool to check working hours, as well as breaks.
• Custom groups, so you can define departments.
• Classifications, which can be tailored to what is productive and not based on department
• Live reports so you can see who is active or not
• Updating the billing information so it is on the interface. There's no way to get invoices or change payment methods on our own, we have to contact a sales rep to do so.
• When a customer gets rid of a license, prorate the unused portion of it (we get charged for upgrading).
It depends on the business model and wants of the colleague -- are they hybrid? Are they wanting to track productivity vs non productivity? The referral would base solely on what the colleague is looking for and what features they're wanting out of a platform. We use the interface in such a limited capacity that I couldn't highlight additional benefits that could, and are there, but it would be something I would tell someone to at least look into.

This is a great program to reclaim you and your organizations day.
It works well and allows visibility to be controlled of what you need/want to see. Suggestion is not use this in a way to snoop but allow you and your team to reclaim time they may not notice they are using in some areas
• Time logging
• Better time management
• Team management
• Could ease the setting of schedules.
• Dashboard could use some easier navigation
• Reports should be easier to create for reviews.
ActivTrak does well at defining productive and non productive navigation.
The way it can auto mark is nice and the fact you can edit things based on your line of business.
The biggest use case I have seen it used for that I disagree is just to track everything employees are doing. While this can do that as well its not the best use of it and if you are not trusting the employee to do their work then alleviate the job from them or retrain.

• Screenshots of their day
• Utilizing Activtrak for multiple team members
• Timestamps and being able to change the time/date
• Screenshots more often
• Reflecting true productivity rather than sitting on the same screen for multiple minutes
Well suited for team members who are not meeting goals

Less appropriate for needing to review minute by minute productivity due to lapse in time of tracking

It is primarily used to track individuals working from home. Also to determine our rate of productivity vs down or dead time. A third but not as important reason is to see if personal time is spent at work.
• Can show pinpoint details
• Can show overall productivity
• Can track individuals
• Better explanation of what reports are when you want to set them up
This review came at a good time. Yesterday we planned to use it to keep track of a questionable employee's time spent remotely last week only to find the data was not tracked for almost 2 full days. This was critically important to us and it was unavailable.

We use it to ensure that our employees working remotely are in fact being productive. We compare productivity when working remotely vs in the office. We look to see when employees are overworking so that we can provide proper support. We also have strict policies for use because we are a defense contractor. We use the alerts to let us know when someone is doing things that are prohibited (ie. using dropbox, storing data to a USB, etc)
• Tracking Productivity
• Providing Alerts for prohibited activities
• Reporting
• Include Employees with no activity in reports
• Alert or report for when employee has not done work in a day (absent)
• Be able to remove the screenshots from the alarm log so you can only see actual alarms
It works very well for tracking the efficiency of your team. Tracking if employees are working or not, especially when you have remote employees. I think it is also great for compliance.

We use ActivTrak software app to track remote team members at our company and their productivity on company computers. This enables us to have a quick glance view and drill down if needed to see who's doing what and when. It has a web app that we access and use most of the time.
• Activity Log
• URL Tracker
• Time Card
• Mobile View
• Screenshots
• Integrations
It is well suited if you have very basic needs for tracking software. I have used other similar applications which do a better job at a better price point and the only reason I use this product today is because the new company I am with installed it before I started working with them.

In my organization, we use it as a time management tool to track our activity of our team members. I use it weekly to track my average productive levels and what my time is being spent on. ActivTrak addresses time spent on what sites and apps that we use on a daily basis and displays this information in an aesthetic bar graph.
• Bar graph or the data usage. The UI of the site is helpful as we can toggle through to select the date range and how we like to view the data info.
• Sends emails weekly to show trends of activity levels for our team.
• Can also track top websites and time used.
• On the dashboard productivity, when you change the custom date range to be the last 30 days, the dates on the bottom of the bar graph is very cluttered and squished. It's hard to tell which date is which. Maybe adding a feature where you could zoom in on that particular graph.
• Overall, maybe adding a feature to see one specific graph and view the insights.
ActivTrak can be beneficial in a company to understand their employees and how their time is being spent on their daily activities. Not entirely necessary for employees who are in office, but remote workers.

We use ActivTrak to monitor employee's productivity and overall efficiencies.
• Provides actionable metrics.
• Objective data.
• Report capabilities.
• I'd like to see more individual metrics rather than team-based metrics. For instance, we'd like to add Focus and Collaboration to our metrics reports, but that's only available for team comparison.
• More flexibility with setting different parameters for part-time versus full-time employees as opposed to having a one-size-fits-all.
• Simple things like selecting the users can be clunky.
Due to the program's versatility, we're able to calibrate it to fit our company's needs. We mainly use ActivTrak to pull metrics for our managers and team to show where we're excelling and where we need to pay more attention. Each user has their own log-in, so they can monitor their usage in real-time.

ActivTrak has truly our business. As a manager, staying on top of everyone's tasks and productivity used to be a bit of a challenge but since we started using ActivTrak, I feel like I have a personal productivity assistant when I need it. The problems we were facing were remote users but now I feel comfortable with this great tool.
• Actively monitoring user details
• Clear picture of workflow / activity
• Where time is spent
• Option to Not Track computers instead of just user profiles
• Easier to activate/alert to when a device is seen online

• Being able to view multiple days at one go.

Not only can we monitor each other, we use this application to see what programs and websites are used on a regular basis. Therefore we can determine if another program or website is beneficial for us, especially if it's one that we pay for. Again, ActivTrak is great at holding us accountable in our work!

• Tracking programs/sites
• Provides detailed login information
• Easy to read dashboard, overview of the organization and teams
• Navigating through each person's activity
Great for telling simple information if someone is actively working. And if they are actively working it'll tell you what they're working out of, Email, Websites, etc.

Our company uses ActivTrak to review productivity and isolate where our agents spend the most time during their day. Remote workforces are more challenging to manage, and ActivTrak has given us more insight into how our teams spend their work days, how often tools are being used, and if we need to create training around those tools.
• Tracks work hours.
• Comparison of productivity for remote vs. in hours employees.
• Provides a view of the top tools being used by our teams.
• More insights on active productive time, and the configuration for tracking.
• More configuration training in the beginning for folks signing up for the platform.
• Alerts when a team member stops being tracked.
ActivTrak is great for teams with production goals and remote work. I don't think I would recommend this for teams that primarily spend their days in Zoom meetings or similar platforms.

ActivTrak helps to keep a check and balance on users' productivity and as well as performance. Also, we can manage our employee's professional growth and stability. We use ActivTrack to keep the records of the working hours and trends which allows us to closely review and consider our staff's working behavior. It also gives us insights into the applications which are mostly used and sorts the top categories between many available choices. In short, it is reliable in terms of Monitoring and managing the staff remotely as well as in hybrid environments.
• Providing Insight on the Staff's Productivity
• Providing a detailed summary of day to day performance in real-time and reporting wise
• ActivTrak enables better management of staff working trends
• Users should be able to pull reports in PDF or Excel format for working hours and so
• More flexibility toward searching through recorded data
• able to search results by using keywords for the staff
ActivTrak is well suited for companies looking to monitor the remote staff productivity and performance rather than sitting in front of the cams and watching many users at the same time to evaluate work efficiency ActivTrak provides as easy solution for managing and keeping records of user's activities to improve the organization's expectations and completing there given tasks. It also helps the management to keep a check and balance between productive use of the working hours and resources. It should not be used for the breech on someone's private activities of receiving any confidential Financial information. which is prohibited strictkly.

We have been using ActivTrak for a few years now. Mainly we started using it during COVID as a way to make sure people working remotely were staying on task. Today we continue to use it a lot for our remote work force that has grown in the last couple years. It is the best tool I have used for monitoring and tracking productivity. We use it as a positive way to coach people who may not be producing as much as they should.
• Track hours worked
• Track websites visited and time spent
• Track how productive someone is
• Better report exporting with details
• Better alert system for specific categories
ActivTrak has been a great tool from the beginning. I was impressed with the demo and compared to other programs it delivers a better experience and a vastly larger amount of useful data. I do not find it less appropriate for anything. Every manager who uses it really loves it! I will continue using the tool.

I pull reports on support staff productivity. Our objectives are not fully met.
• At-your-fingertips reports
• Location insights - they are available now, but we are still unable to take advantage of them
• It is not very user friendly
Our objectives are not fully met. We need to track productivity by location (office vs home). We were prepared to upgrade to take advantage of the location insights; however, it does not seem to be compatible with our system. Additionally, the scope of what is being captured by ActivTrak seems to be somewhat limited.
