(1-8 of 8)If you are ethical; avoid AdvancedMD
- Absolutely nothing.
- The implementation team has integrity.
- The sales team is worse than car dealers in my experience.
- Be honest.
- Investigate the comments made by their employees.
- Support the end user.
User-friendly and a great out-of-the-box solution!
- The built-in dashboard has allowed us to increase transparency to our providers which in turn has improved trust as well as collections.
- The scheduler tool is very user-friendly and allows us a quick glance into capacity and opportunity.
- Master data control is an issue as we have multiple "keys" which sometimes have inconsistent inputs/mappings.
- The support seems to be lacking and it can take quite a while to reach an "expert" who has the time to dig in and respond to an inquiry.
Great for the Data-Driven Practice
- They provide access to their underlying tables via Open Database Connection (ODBC). This streamlines business intelligence processes greatly.
- The "canned"/"stock" business intelligence tool (Advanced Insight) is very useful.
- Our dedicated customer support representative (Breah Teed) has exceeded our expectations.
- They do not currently allow users to "lock down" the date field which represents the date that payments were deposited into a bank account. Users are capable of perpetually changing these dates.
- They are currently building a process which allows users to reconcile payment data to a source document (typically an entity's bank account). We are eagerly awaiting the roll out of this product.
- We have had issues at times where undeserving patients were sent to collections due to software or human error (no true cause was ever found).
It's as Easy as 123!
- Advanced MD keeps our practice orderly on which doctors to schedule the patients with.
- Easy to access different locations and different doctors.
- Makes electronic faxing quicker and more efficient.
- There are sometimes glitches where it runs slow.
- It would be easier to save new patients on the same screen to schedule them.
- I'd like to be able to do the recall patients differently.
AdvancedMD --have an affair with this product!
- Detailed Aging reports very easy to follow and helpful in our business.
- Navigation around appointment scheduler is excellent.
- Creating custom templates with AMD convenient.
- Best part--when system is slow, I can instantly send feedback on it, and see results soon!
- Adding and Deleting provider columns complicated.
- Would have loved to have one point of contact at all times and have that person answer on the third ring (see, this is me really reaching--because as far as my job functions were concerned, the product was absolutely fantastic. I have no complaints).
- Working electronic insurance error reports in the system was a nightmare.
Why We Loved ADP AdvancedMD!
- Easy to Learn
- Streamline workflows
- Promotes efficiency
- Lack of custom reporting or ease of custom reporting
- Schedule templates somewhat limiting for large groups or unique scheduling situations
- AdvancedMD stores all information securely in their cloud, eliminating the need for local servers, security monitoring, related security costs.
- AdvancedMD stores all medical records digitally eliminating the need for extensive paper-based record keeping and the corresponding security concerns.
- AdvancedMD integrates nicely with faxing services, scanning via Fujitsu scanners, and related equipment.
- AdvancedMD allows for customized input templates giving the medical practice some degree of flexibility as their needs dictate.
- Just recently we had an incident in which none of our employees could access the training.advancemd.com training materials. After extensive trouble shooting it was determined the issue was not with the local network, PC configuration, or firewalling. The AdvanceMD support personnel were not empowered to escalate this case as it should have been. Ultimately a correction in the server configuration for the training materials cleared up the issue, but not with assistance from Tier 1 support personnel.
- Integration with the scanners can be problematic and has been a headache. Even with the Fujitsu scanners, the best in the business, we had challenges and found that some of the Tier 1 support staff were not trained or did not have access to the necessary documentation to fix the issue. The issues were eventually resolved but not without time lost in the process.
- I would make sure that the medical practice has a strong IT support team.
- You must have a trainer that can stay on top of changes and train new personnel how to use the software as it is complex and offers a lot of features.
- A critical question is: Are you ready for digital records stored in the cloud and do you have the proper equipment for moving to cloud storage, i.e. Internet bandwidth, redundancy of service, reliable equipment, business continuity planning in place, and adequate support? A power outage, for example, can quickly turn a normal situation into chaos.
- Is browser based software responsive enough for your needs? Often the move from client-server to cloud based is not adequately understood and technical needs are underestimated.
- This solution is excellent for the smaller practice with a limited budget and limited time to focus on the technical details.
ADP AdvancedMD is at the top of their game!
- The customer service at ADP AdvancedMD is second to none. The just created an 'Idea Share' area where clients can talk to each other and offer suggestions on making the software better. They listen to their clients and take suggestions into consideration when considering what updates to include in their next release.
- The product is very user friendly on both sides (PM and EHR). I have used other products in the past and find ADP AdvancedMD to be to be easiest to navigate.
- Training and Implementation is great! They give clients the tools and resources necessary to be successful. From an online help file, to videos, to a consultant to help get you started, ADP AdvancedMD wants you to succeed.
- Unapplied credits could be handled better within the software. It would be very beneficial to have the option to automatically apply unapplied credits to patients accounts across the board with a click of a button.
- Facilities need to be able to be tied directly to Provider Profiles to make reporting easier.
- You must use Internet Explorer with ADP AdvancedMD. It would be better if you could use it with Chrome, Firefox, etc.
- Needs the ability to use the product on a MAC.
