- Cisco Room kits, it's a video conferencing system, so it has the, compared to the old systems where you use a webcam in a conference room, we don't see the person, the participants in the room. So with the installation of this kind of devices, it has a speaker fracking. So you can see the person, it clearly captures the speaker, whoever. So let's say that are 15, 20, people are sitting in a room if someone is speaking among them. So this camera is actually focused that person, so we can see that person. And it just shifts from one person to other based on the speaker and the webcam. If you're going back in the old days, like a webcam, using a webcam, it just gives an overview of the room. If someone is speaking, you don't know who is speaking unless you know the voice. So this is much greater. And you have so many other features like digital signage, you can display signage on the, so there's a lot of other features out there. So those are cool features I would say.

- I've seen a few times hardware issues. It's brand new products and I've seen hardware issues and had to contact Cisco attack and get those devices replaced. So that's the hardware side. And there are some areas we could improve, I think. So last year we had to put Cisco room kit in a training room. It's a really long training room and just one device was not enough, so we had to put two different room kits within that room. It has the multi-camera switching and all those things. So based on Cisco's recommendation, we had to use a room kit pro and a plus. And the issue was everything was fine, but the second court cam, the audio was not coming out from that. So that was a limitation with the Cisco. And then I had to contact, and then with the new, they have recently launched a new device called eq. It's called Room Kit eq, so that actually resolve that issue. So we had to replace the plus with an eq. So that resolve issues. There are some issues, minor issues, but it's not a huge thing. So they're making so many products. Sometimes there will be hardware issues, but it sounds odd.
Cisco Room Series Review
- Audio is particularly good with the Babble labs integration. There's always a nice clear audio signal both to and from the customer or to our other peers within the company. In addition, the video quality is excellent. There's a variety of camera options for all these products to range anywhere from a small huddle room to quite large auditoriums, but still get very near closeups of any participant.
- Perhaps any downside I might see is not necessarily with this product, it's more interoperability with other products. And I think these are all roadmap items that are being addressed. For instance, when you're in a Cisco meeting, it's not as feature rich as it might be as if you joined from a computer. However, as I said, these seem to be roadmap items which are coming along soon. Things like integration with the text or chat rather in a meeting, and also whiteboard integration.

Cisco Room Series Room KIT Review good and little bit bad sides
Also, we use them to connect to the meetings over Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Some Customers use this product with Expressway series but mostly I prefer SIP registration in cloud. Also Codec Devices are common for our customers. When there is a possibility of using them through CUCM device we prefer registering this device.
- If the Network quality is good we can get the highest picture quality in market.
- Covers the full room and is very useful for both small rooms and big meeting rooms.
- Most of the products can be moved from room to room, so you don't need to buy separate devices for each room.
- Actually the main problem for the customers are the pricing
- From my own experience microphone quality is not very high. Because wall mounted microphones can sometimes perform somehow very badly
- Possibility of contacting 3rd party meetings without configurations or creating store for downloading apps for this devices and connecting 3rd party meetings as we already familiar in PCs
I have implemented Codec Device and Room Kit Pro in governmental place and it suited very well. It was again on Prem solution working with Cisco Meeting Servers and different countries were connected to the meeting. Network quality was perfect and Video quality voice quality were above the great. Everybody asked about the device which we were using after the call. Mainly the IT guys.
For not so well experience I can say the place where we used Board Pro 55 but we have faced with the microphone problems. For the solutions we used wired Cisco SX20 devices microphones it solved the problem. But Board pro 55 itself made our experience little bit bad.

Cisco Room Series Review
- Probably one of the best ones we had recently was using some of the new layouts within the room kits. We've had some kind of hybrids of large groups on site as well as individuals connecting through WebEx and being able to display things out properly and have the presentations easily visible as well as still seeing the presenter. It just makes things a lot easier to work with.
- Probably one of the biggest things for me is we recently got some board units and they don't talk very well if they're in the same room as more equipment. So it would be great to be able to actually have more than one piece of equipment in a room and just have them talk to each other. That's a major issue we have at the moment.
