Actian Zen is a versatile, fully ANSI SQL compliant embedded database that can be used on different operating systems like Android, iOS, Windows and macOS. The software provides up to 64TB table support as well as AES 256-bit encryption for VMs and Containers. It can be connected with multiple programming languages such as C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python Delphi or Basic and connect to any ODBC JDBC ASP Net source or destination.
Actian Zen comes in various versions ranging from client-only at 5MB footprint to the client-server SaaS-ready solution which has a footprint of up to 200MB. Actian Zen finds application in cloud-based deployment applications such as traditional client-server environments and IoT devices for use cases including time-series document storage and traditional RDBMS features. In addition, Actian Zen offers users the ability to defragment their databases without shutting down the engine while reads and writes continue operationally offering uninterrupted service during this critical task. Finally built-in analysis tools offer efficient identification of fragmented files enabling quick correction strategies of your data structure when needed leveraging efficiency gains overall.
