NinjaOne is the number one RMM
- Remote screen sharing/control
- Patch automation and control groups
- Automated task scheduling that includes scripts with parameters
- Endpoint resource monitoring
- Event log display for endpoint events is often lean or not filterable
- Connection errors with no error code/reason given
- Easier cancellation of queued events such as scheduled reboots
An improvement for NinjaOne would be agents/better functionality for Android/Apple tablets, as we are finding that clients are implementing mobility solutions which we can only support by phone call.
NinjaOne Review
- PowerShell Persistent Connections
- Single big picture view of all devices being managed
- Deployment of scripts as system or as user
- Big picture View of software installed across all (or specific set) of devices
- ability to access NinjaOne Custom fields when running scripts as the user
- ability to access NinjaOne agents whos ninja service is stuck
- Ability to migrate clients from one MSP to another without having to rip and replace.
Absolute Favorite Tool for Managing All My Equipment
- Remote assistance
- Remote management of all computers and servers
- Pushing installs and updates to all workstations is amazing
- More information on network management setup
- Syslog reporting information
- Some software updates tend to fail and need to be done manually
Enjoying the Product So Far

- Installs from Intune with a high success rate
- Has a built-in ticketing system
- Offers other products like documentation
- Offers other products like backups

- Reporting capabilities for machines could be better
- Provide a thumbnail image of the endpoint screen
- Allow the ticketing platform to integrate with Power BI
- Remote connections: the NinjaRemote client is spectacular and very easy to use and navigate. It quickly connects to customer systems so my engineers are able to work. As a bonus, they also offer a really good mobile app to connect to client systems.
- Antivirus: Bitdefender Endpoint Protection is built directly into the NinjaOne portal. This makes deploying and maintaining AV very easy.
- OS Patching: NinjaOne makes it very easy to handle patching across multiple clients and locations. It is very easy to use and doesn't take long to set up.
- Support: NinjaOne support is always very prompt and helpful.
- Documentation: the NinjaOne Dojo is a one-stop shop for all of your FAQs, guides, and forum needs. You can find almost anything here to help you deploy and maintain NinjaOne.
- Automation Library: NinjaOne comes preloaded with a large number of ready-to-go automations. They also provide you with a scripting module to create your own.
- Reporting: has been a bit lackluster in the past but they just rolled out a new reporting module so it may have improved.
- Dark Mode: this has been one of the most requested features on the roadmap. It needs to happen. Soon.
NinjaOne is awesome
- Granular interface that gives significant details about your devices.
- Remote Access and management.
- Simplifying OS and third party patching.
- Their third party patch management is limited
- Does not have a function to remote deploy, requires you to use another software or run their exe/msi package.
- Patching sometimes fails to reboot
NinjaOne - helps make remote management affordable!
We use NinjaOne to update patches, OS updates, and many applications remotely allowing us to keep our workforce on updated machines and allowing us to do so remotely.
- Patches
- Remote control
- Updates
- UI is a bit outdated
- UI is somewhat clunky and hard to follow
- UI can be very difficult to traverse unless you use it all of the time, it is not very intuitive.
Growing and Adapting with NinjaOne
- Single-pane-of-glass for all the management products
- Automation is pretty easy to create/understand
- Scalability of our business is easily managed
- MDM is still in beta - definitely room for improvement, especially regarding admin control of a single device without changing the kiosk policy for all devices.
- One thing I miss from our previous device management software is the ability to map network drives & add locally installed printers directly through the app without needing to disturb the end-user
- End-user device login history - being able to see what devices a person has logged into over the last xx days
Entry level IT user finds NinjaOne to be his best friend?
- Installing silently
- Teamviewer integration
- Anti-Virus install
- Mobile App is missing features that the web version has
- Reinstalling NinjaOne on a PC that had NinjaOne before can be a pain
- NinjaOne updates a lot (not bad but sometimes I experience short downtime)
All in one IT solution for endpoint management.
- Endpoint management
- Automation
- Remote Endpoint Access
- Ticketing
- Support for mobile devices
- Better NMS monitoring
- Better integration of EDR software
Patch management is huge for us, especially since most users are seldomly in the offices and we have too many locations for two IT persons to cover.
We also use the Backup function to backup Windows laptops, again, since the users are not often in a location where a backup server is availalble.
- Backups
- Patch Management
- Remote support
- Monitoring and Alerting
- Finding users/machines could be easier
- Rather use an authenticator thank 2fa
Best RMM on the market with a great Roadmap
Additionally, NinjaOne offers real-time monitoring and alerts to prevent potential IT issues. Its inventory tool aids in tracking assets, validating software licenses, and aiding in procurement planning. Moreover, its reporting features help offer insights to our senior management about our IT infrastructure's status.
NinjaOne is crucial for our IT operations, allowing us to efficiently manage and secure our infrastructure while focusing on our core business objectives.
- Clean Dashboard
- Easy Learning Curve
- Many Features
- None I can think of
NinjaOne - how to manage remote user chaos.
- Clear insight into the machine - powered up, on the network, etc.
- I can tell easily at a glance whether the machine is up to date on OS patches.
- I can remote to the machine anywhere, as long as it has an internet connection and whether or not the user is logged in - a big plus.
- This is a small point but for me has been important - I know which particular machine is where - I know it's hardware and firmware level.
- I know NinjaOne can do much more but some of the scripting and implementing is intimidating and confusing. I believe it was written much more with a MSP in mind.
- The scripting environment is not easy to understand. I haven't had time to learn it.
I would assume it would also be applicable in larger enterprise environments as well. But I really don't feel I can speak to that specifically.
NinjaOne Is Beautifully Simple
We previously used N-central, and we're very happy with our decision to make the switch. N-central had more features, but it was much more difficult to manage.
Every aspect of the product is easy to use. If you're looking into new RMM solutions, please ask the vendors how much they charge to implement the product, or if they know of consultants who can help implement their product for you. NinjaOne will help you with the implementation, but you won't need much help. Our team had never set up an RMM solution before, and we managed to get NinjaOne fully set up in under 4 weeks.
- Updates
- Backsup
- Remote Access
- Backups. The backups are powerful, but there aren't a ton of options.
- Backups. We have had issues with cloud backups at sites with lower bandwidth.
- Remote access. We've had to manually uninstall and reinstall teamviewer before, but its very rare.
We use NinjaOne at sites that have domain controllers and sites without domains. The product works great for both environments. Due to our complex environment, it's very nice that we're able to push out changes via NinjaOne instead of Group Policy.
A Must-Have for MSPs and IT Teams
- With Ninja, we are able to have all of our IT tools and management under one umbrella making it extremely easy to keep an eye on all of our servers and workstations.
- Their support team is OUTSTANDING and gives quick and helpful answers to our questions. Our account manager calls us personally to review any issues and ensure we are running smoothly.
- Ninja gives us automated patch management of our important devices, and has a nice security log to see what's been done.
- The look and feel of their product sometimes feels outdated. It does not inhibit our work, it just could be modernized a bit.

Personal NinjaOne review after 6 months
- Uses teamviewer to connect to devices whether they are on internal network or internet
- Access to the command or powershell shell as the user or administrator
- Enumerate installed software
- Access to the registry even the HKCU
- Software deployment
- Layering policies - end devices can only be on one policy
- alerting could be fine tuned a bit - often get to much
I think if you have a completely corporate network joined computers NinjaOne might not be the best tool but not because it can't do the job but just that you would be using a small subset of what it is capable of and there might be other products that might have a better price point for the more limited needs - each case has to justify the needs and budget. For us the fact that NinjaOne was replacing at least 3 other specific software made the cost viable and NinjaOne gave us to tools that we needed to manage the endpoints.
NinjaOne cuts through the other RMMs!

NinjaOne is a great RMM product for a great price.
- NinjaOne provides great patch management to support remote and on premise devices.
- NinjaOne provides the ability to remotely support employees that are remote and on primise.
- NinjaOne allows us to automate and gather information regarding our end points.
- NinjaOne does support Mac, however I would like to have more options for automation and scheduled task on Mac devices.
- I would like it if NinjaOne also provided an MDM solution.
- It would be nice is NinjaOne could integrate a PAM solution as well.
NinjaOne is a great option for SMB
- Clean interface
- Windows updates are a simplified
- The mobile app is convenient
- The ticketing system (email) does not integrate with Office365
- Does not integrate with Active Directory (we must create local NinjaOne accounts)
- SNMP integration could be revisited. Only Cisco devices have config backup capabilities.
- No option to remotely access network devices, like switches, routers, or firewalls.
