So we are using a CTP space CT PS means we can collect the if you are trying to access any kind of website or they're trying to access the internet or they're trying to access anything like our internal portal. So this tool can help us to identify latency or slowness or any kind of glitch or something. So they all record it in a post data. So that is very helpful In our day-to-day work.
  • So it is helpful me for connectivity so sometimes you complain my WiFi is not working or my internet is always slow. So with the help of this particular thousand I agent, we can collect all the website related data connectivity band circuit. So we are getting on the, sometime we are getting the graphical model product data and that data is basically very helpful on the troubleshooting purpose. So before when I was not using this product, we will always trouble should be the Cisco tool, something like diagnostic tool and it was not very helpful on day-to-day work. But with the help of this tool we are comfortable.
  • So currently I'm notifying any improvement but sometimes it create machine to when I'm installing the to tie, sometimes machine can very slow so for us we need to reward the machine to fix it. Sometimes it's very rare scenario but this application is working very well.
It is well suited for website monitoring and band circuit monitoring like the band circuit, like any kind of internet or internal connectivity. Yeah, network connectivity websites and the local application monitoring.

We have not only the endpoints, but I think we have the enterprise agents. We have two categories, the endpoints and the enterprise agents we use. We have each one in each of our offices. So if there is a problem specifically on providers or internet circuits, that's when we use the product to help us in monitoring and troubleshooting primarily.
  • I think what it does well is help us identify some problems that we have with some service providers when we have internet problems. Also what it does that we use more is for synthetic tests when there is a problem, we use them to run some synthetic tests so you can identify if there is a problem with our internet service provider. That's what I believe is the main purpose of this product.
  • We have the product, we have a fair amount of wireless issues. You have to go through so many hoops, links and selections that I would think would've been impossible. Maybe if you have a specialized engineer, you would be able to use the thousandeyes product to troubleshoot a problem. But if I want to share with our knock, for example, would be very challenging because there is so many paths that you have to go and there is so many assumptions you have to do to actually find the root cause of the problem. What I would expect is maybe what they can do is implementing some AI today on this product to give some hints, "hey, this might be the problem because the data is there but it's difficult to find." We need an easier way to find how we can use the platform to point out where's the root cause of those problems.
I think it's well suited maybe for a large company. We have multiple offices in multiple regions, we have different service providers and you need to do a quick troubleshooting and get quickly to minimize the time for resolution whenever you have a problem. Let me give you an example. We are very focused on experience at Intuit. So for us, what it really matters for us is like this, if there is a problem that we always have a problem when we deal with the infrastructure, how we can resolve that problem as quick as possible? Take thousandeyes being one of the tools that can help us to minimize this time for resolution. That's why I believe on this company, but that's what I'm saying, it needs to have some scale depending on the size of the company, what they have. It brings some value and helps you. So that's the criteria we would use.

It is vast, we have SD-WAN that connect 8000+ hotels.
  • Bgp monitoring
  • Device polling
  • Ticketing tool interaction
  • Device layer expansion to get feed from other vendors
  • Expansion product scope to install agents
It is a great monitoring tool that has a good future when improving.

We are in the middle of a POC. Many of our issues are Internet related and the business does not see that. They assume all issues are local network issues. This helps us identify the true root cause that is mostly external to our network. Initially, we had management complaining about all of our issues with MS Teams and the video conferencing units from Polycom that are MS Teams registered. Now we have the ability to show them the issues stem from MS and not our network. This has helped us as network administrator greatly, and has also helped management see that Cisco video conferencing units with Webex was superior to our new polycom and MS Teams.
  • Root cause detection
  • Granular data
  • Good interface
  • Great integration with other Cisco suites
  • Cost
It is well suited for any environment. It works especially well when you have products that support the endpoint/enterprise agent. For us, this includes MacBooks, PCs, Webex RoomOS devices, Cisco routers, Cisco CUBEs on ISR routers, Meraki MX security appliances, and probably more that I cannot think of right now. For a business that relies only on on-prem services, this probably doesn't make much sense to use.

We are still very early in our deployment, but we have over 100 customers and this has already proven to be a GEM of a product. We have already been able to demonstrate to customers using Cisco ThousandEyes that many variables impact user experience besides the network!
  • Using the end point agents does a great job of providing the path that a clients traffic takes
  • We have been able to isolate server application bottlenecks
  • I have not spent much time in Cisco ThousandEyes, and just getting started with the dashboards is not exactly intuitive.
I have not used it much, but a peer on my team was able to use Cisco ThousandEyes to demonstrate to a customer who was complaining about network slowness that the laptop image and hardware they were deploying to their users simply did not have enough resources and was causing all kinds of slowness issues.

Have it installed on cores to watch traffic. Installed on end points at POC to troubleshoot specific individual problems with connectivity.
  • Show where problems lie b/t user and server
  • See latency on the network
  • Check cloud availability
  • Implementation
  • Looks good in theory, need better documentation to get the results shown in labs
Well suited in a confusing environment where there are different owners along the path of the packets. It cannot drill into the application, stops at the layer 1 at the end user.

I use Cisco ThousandEyes for visibility into bandwidth bottlenecks and high CPU alarms. I have a live dynamic map of my R/S network as well!
  • Map the entire network using SNMP
  • provide real-time bottlenecks
  • Show and notify my team of alarms and bandwidth issues
  • replace other vendors' monitoring and visibility systems
  • more device agents!!
  • clearer definitions of errors

Used to monitor our network. We have it integrated with Webex to alerts which cover our network and collaboration endpoints. Using the agent to monitor remoted users connections is extremely helpful to determine if any issues are due to the remote workers home internet or network. We also use the Cisco ThousandEyes agent to monitor workstations or servers to troubleshoot any issues that occur. It's a great tool for network monitoring and helps us find the causes of any network issues a lot faster than traditional troubleshooting. It's also a great tool for monitoring from data center to data center and ISP connections. If you are wanting a tool that covers monitoring for your entire network then this is a great tool. It's also good for monitoring Cisco's entire sweet of collaboration tools, including Webex. There are many easy to read and use dashboards and to setup the agent and monitoring is pretty straightforward. We use Cisco ThousandEyes daily to monitor. We continue to find new monitoring uses reasons and so far are really happy with what this tool brings to our organization. In a lot of cases it allows us to be more proactive than reactive. Allowing our network team to remedy issues before end users even notice them.
  • Netowrk monitoring
  • Collaberation monitoring
  • Remote working monitoring
  • More user friendly dashboards
  • Provide more information on what some alerts mean
  • Slimline the main dashboard
It's a great tool for monitoring remote workers' connections. Great for monitoring the overall network. Routers, switches, collaboration, Cisco video endpoints, Great alerting tool that is built into Webex so that you receive alerts as things in your network happen. Great for monitoring connection to servers when you believe there could be latency or other issues.

We use ThousandEyes at our business to observe SAAS applications in the cloud. In that case, we can always see what is happening and where the problems are. In the future we will also use ThousandEyes to monitor internal traffic to see exactly where the bottlenecks are and what we can do to avoid or fix them.

We use all 3 agent types. End user, cloud and enterprise. The cloud agents focus on ‘outside in’ monitoring. Enterprise maps our estate across multiple platforms.
  • Simple and fast configuration of tests
  • Ease of identification of issues
  • Quickly rule in/rule out the network as the source of any fault.
  • Integrates with app D
  • Not being the direct user of the tool, this is hard to answer. I am seeing all of my requirements met as a senior manager of an IT Operations area.
Important business services should be mapped in ThousandEyes. Less important services may be better off being monitored by a more cost effective solution.

I have 4 years of using ThousandEyes, and I usually use it to monitor the bandwidth between locations to specific destinations using our outbound connections (Proxy/Firewall), and is really handy for troubleshooting purposes, also you can create alerts to monitor evert X minutes if you have the connection values desired. It's a great tool to have in any IT Network Security related Team.
  • Latency Monitor from several locations in the world
  • Keepalive verification to endpoints
  • Alerts
  • Reports
  • Too expensive
  • License limitation
  • Settings can be complex
At least for me, it is a very important tool to diagnose bandwidth / Routing issues. Any global company should have ThousandEyes, it will avoid you many headaches. You'll need to invest in servers (on-prem and remote) in all locations in which you need, you can take advantage of all the monitoring tools.

We are using ThousandEyes to monitor a variety of things, from BGP routes path to SaaS application performance. ThousandEyes is reliable in detecting issues and often able to pin down the exact cause of an issue. It is integrated with most of the recent Cisco products from Meraki suit, Cat route, Cat9k switch and etc. which made deployment very flexible and easy.
  • Monitoring SaaS application performance
  • Pin down root cause of performance degradation
  • Monitoring BGP routes/path
  • Integration with Cisco networking product, particularly Cisco Meraki
  • More integration into existing dashboards, e.g. Catalyst centre, rather than have to login to another web portal
  • Desktop clients require specific version (and it is older version) of pcap
BYOD scenario SaaS performance monitoring critical to business While it does not require Cisco networking kits, it is easier to deploy when your networking equipment's are Cisco
