We use it for some clients in Brazil, we have a client here from the airline industry and we help them sync the collection of data, all digital data and offline data, some of the offline data as well to standardize that and aggregate all this information, create personas, profiles, and then we use that to create some business cases around marketing CRM and for our personal information as well to control personal information and help our clients.
  • Activation in real time - it's really good and you can literally see the information being activated in all other technologies that my clients use, like TikTok, Facebook, Google, et cetera. At the time that a client arrives on your website, you have instant data to enrich the profiles and activate on this channel. So this is really good and it's something that Tealium give us the control in order to do that.
  • The other thing is that you have the power to choose what data you want to collect and what data you do not want to collect. Tealium is particularly very good on doing that.
  • We use a technology from Tealium called DataAccess and it would be nice to have more information around how we can use that to provide value for our customers.
For more suited, I'll say highly regulated industry around data like healthcare, insurance, finance, where Tealium can be very helpful and for clients that don't have much different channels where they interact with their clients. So companies that only sell on internet and are a small company, I can see Tealium being the best usage for these clients, for these companies.

Tealium Customer Data Hub has been able to provide advanced segmentation that has allowed us to effectively reduce our ad spend while simultaneously increasing the quality of leads that we are generating by targeting key user groups. We have been able to do this by audience suppression and look-alike audiences targeting these key user groups. Along with this, we have been able to increase our signals that we are sending to different advertisers by leveraging event stream and Capi integrations.

Definitely in highly regulatory verticals. Tealium Customer Data Hub has the edge compared to its competitors when it comes to working in those spaces. I would also recommend it for marketing teams who have some IT support, but not a huge tech team that is able to support them in some sort of custom integrations. But are looking to quickly stand up a tool and start seeing returns quickly.

We use Tealium Event Stream to stream realtime conversion data to a number of different CAPI solutions. We've seen increased ROAS with these implementations which have only driven more need for more CAPI solutions / connectors to be put in place. With the 3rd party cookies going away soon, and increased privacy regulations with software updates (ioS 17, etc) we're noticing a loss of data capture that we were previsouly getting. The CAPI solution has helped with that. Our scope of Event Stream is pretty limited to CAPI, but we have other smaller use cases for sending real time data as well.

Tealium Customer Data Hub would be great for customers who want all their solutions in one place. We're already collecting the data in Tealium Customer Data Hub so we might as well be able to activate on it too! In terms of less appropriate, I'd say that the Tealium Customer Data Hub isn't as well suited for its integrations with other saas platforms. Deckers want to be able to use Tealium Customer Data Hub, but we have so many other tools in our suite that integrations between the other platforms is PIVOTAL to be able to activate the data across other channels.

We are using GTM and the events API to send events to create visitors for Audiences and then using Audience Connectors for Snowflake, SFMC, Audience Store, and Google Ads.

As a replacement to Adobe Audience Manager. It is also morphing into our Outreach CDP. Our primary business challenge is audience segmentation. We need a way to aggregate many IDs and track users over many months. Personalization is now another opportunity for the CDP.

  • Wish the Databricks connector was ready 3 years ago! We are struggling to connect into our data lake.
  • The connector to Adobe Experience Platform does not have helpful errors. We are not sure what is wrong and need both Tealium Customer Data Hub and Adobe expertise to solve the issue.
Strong when dealing with diverse data sources and destinations. Weak when integrating with Adobe stack.

We have seen a lot of value from Tealium Customer Data Hub. Having 40 brands under a single umbrella company, we have been able to unify our customer database and create dynamic audiences that we can then send to various marketing tools. We also love that Tealium Customer Data Hub audiences are actionable in real-time, rather than waiting for a batch process.

Make sure you have a large enough IT or data team to properly implement Tealium Customer Data Hub, or hire an implementation agency. Otherwise it could take months to see data and you may not be getting all of the value that Tealium Customer Data Hub could provide.

We rolled Tealium IQ out as a Global solution in 2015. Previously one region was using Tealium, another was using Ensighten and another was using Google Tag Manager. Rolling Tealium out allowed us to have a global solution and also made it easier for our regions to manage their own tags since Tealium has a great user interface.

  • Great customer support and large community
  • While the UI is great, it can be a little overwhelming. I am not sure there is much that can be improved. I think it just requires some good training.
Tealium IQ is for more that just adding tags to a site. If you just need to add basic tags to a site, then Tealium may be overkill. Tealium is much more than just a tag management system.

We've had good success in building audience profiles and feeding these to our Media and Email channels. EventStream has also been great in getting us more visibility into online conversions. We use Tealium CDP (AudienceStream & Event Stream) to manage customer experiences and to save money connecting and advertising to those audiences. Some use cases include audience categorization, lookalike audiences, paid media and segmentation.

We have been using Tealium Customer Data Hub for last 5 years. It is integrated with AA. We use reports about patient behavior on the hospital website. Recently we are in the process of signing a HIPAA contract with Tealium. Hope that will enable us to handle the patient data in a more secure manner. We would recommend Tealium Customer Data Hub to many Health Care providers.
