A low-cost IP phone that is used in school classrooms or hospital patient rooms to avoid using analog devices and having to maintain unnecessary pot lines.
  • Low-end IP phone
  • Better then analog device
  • Easy to manage and maintain
  • Not webex compatible
  • Needs an LCD screen
  • Limited functionality
The Cisco Unified IP Phone 6900 Series is a cost-effective phone that works well in hospitals as room phones, wall-mounted hallway phones, and phones with not a lot of usage. It is not the most effective phone for areas with call center agents, receptionists, or any other type of power users because of its limited functionality.

Cisco Unified IP telephony is quite practical and strong in terms of security. It is a very friendly tool. There are competitively priced IP phones on the market, but Cisco provides a practical library for configuration and technical support.
  • Cisco Unified IP Phone 6921 also has a screen, making it more personalizeable
  • User friendly, cost effective
  • Hearing-aid compatible
  • Color options
  • The phone could be a little smaller
  • The cord can be improved
Useful for companies that need a friendly IP phone with basic features

Cisco 6900 are widely used for several companies, most of the implementations I did in my whole career working with Cisco devices used those devices, they are very stable with less need of maintenance, address most of the features that can be used on Cisco IP telephony system and can even control some of the video systems. Due to the broad amount of models, it can be used for several types of [users] from the most simple to the most complex use[.]
  • All types of calls
  • very stable
  • small learning curve
  • Visual
  • Settings can be more visual[.]
The 6900 series is the best option for offices that need IP telephony flawlessly making and receiving calls and can fit on most of the user types due to the number of models. It does not fit for companies that want to use video, none of the models has a video embedded and the tools to integrate those devices with video are that good[.]

I use Cisco Unified IP phone for phone calls and voice messages. My job also uses it to send out emergency alerts.
  • Easy to check voice messages.
  • Display is easy to see.
  • Storing of frequently used phone numbers
  • I like the different ring tones.
  • I wish the color was jazzier ( I know that's not a word probably) but something that allows you to give your phone character.
  • The cord tangles to easily.
  • The phone could be a little smaller.
The Cisco Unified IP Phone is reliable and easy to use. The programming keys are easy to figure out and [setting] up voice mail is great. I like the option to set up a standard greeting, personal greeting, and even have a temporary greeting for a specific amount of time. I also like the different ring tones, this helps in a large office so that if I am not at my desk I do not have to run back to grab the phone if it's not my ring.

We use it as a telephone and video conference solution (bundle) in the company instead of PSTN.
  • Video quality.
  • voice quality.
  • Cheap communication.
  • Menu is very complex and is not user-friendly.
  • We need more network adapters.
We need more network adapters because my laptop is connected to a network via IP Phone network adapters. Video and voice qualities are very good.

Cisco 6900 series models are used in our organisation branches across the country. The 6911 model is used in common space where any employee can sit and start working. The model provides an excellent communication tool in small offices and hot desks where voice communication is very important.
  • Compatibility with Cisco enterprise telephony platforms.
  • All the basis and essential telephony features included.
  • Ergonomic design and high quality materials.
  • Excellent voice quality.
  • Some models do not have [LCD] display.
  • Some Cisco advanced telephony service are not supported or difficult to start, since no physical buttons exist.
  • More color variants should be introduced.
The model is very well suited for open space common area or hot desk area. The model can be also used in small branches or offices.
Though the model provide just basic voice services to knowledge workers, it is also possible to use with large enterprise by employees who needs just basic telephony stuff.

It is not possible to have the full UC experience with this model, since it does not support video calls.

In many large enterprise organizations, including LaSalle Solutions, we often have a need to provide telephony devices that do not require the same footprint as a traditional desk-based worker requires. The [Cisco Unified IP Phone 6900 Series] provides an opportunity for a smaller footprint, less power consumption, and an elegant design that fits with the rest of the handsets in the solution.
  • Small physical footprint
  • Lower power consumption
  • Limited security exposure
  • Dial-pad could be larger
  • Physical durability is lower than other models
I would recommend this model in lobbies, break rooms, hotels, manufacturing floor "pole phones" or other places where a larger physical phone isn't necessary to provide dial-tone and basic feature access.
