(1-25 of 35)Cisco Nexus Dashboard Review
- It provides monitoring for our overall ACI Fabric which includes the Controller, Spine, and Leaf Switches.
- It gives you a single pane of visibility of all of your ACI fabric using Nexus Dashboard, no need to login to each of the multiple ACI fabric controllers.
- Provides an assurance analysis to to your ACI fabric before implementing any change in configuration, they have the Pre-change analysis prior to the firmware upgrade.
- Gives you the overall health of your Fabric and provides anomaly severity.
- With the latest version release of Cisco Nexus Dashboard to version 3.0.1 I can say that most of the features have already improved but one of the wishlists that I want for ND is the possibility of extracting lists of Anomaly.
- Include older versions of Firmware in the list of choices when doing the firmware upgrade analysis, currently only the recommended is in the list of choices.
- If possible, include all the prechecks in the Firmware pre-upgrade analysis same in the script provided by Cisco.

Cisco Nexus Dashboard is ready for primetime now
- Easy to add sites
- Upgrading the cluster has gotten better from what it use to be
- fairly easy to stand up
- NDI service takes exceptionally long to enable and is very finicky on whether it will fully enable
- Day-0 configuration for NDO is extremely dependent on how things like multi-pod we setup on a specific code level - this caused us a lot of pain in getting our prod fabrics configured for multisite
- faster upgrade process for physical nodes
Cisco Nexus Dashboard Review
- Nexus in our data center we use the Nexus and it's solid hardware and we have a response for our extensions. I think it's a good appliance for us, and we have already worked with Cisco because Cisco is the better.
- If I say we have more Nexus and more application on Cisco in our company.
Nexus Dashboad - single source of truth
- security advisories

- Nexus Dashboard should merge views from Cisco ACI and NXos into one common Dashboard
- Nexus Dashboard should have a history of searching for information about the indicated endpoints
- Nexus Dashboard for ACI should have possibility to check compliance wit best practice implementations

There have been a range of tools and software that we have and are available in market to monitor Networks, but there was nothing like ND that we had heard of before we decided to onboard it.
Though our primary use case was visibility 3 years back when we purchased this product, we got modules like NAE and NIA complementary. But over a period of time we have consumed the information provide by these module and got used to it.
Finally it was great to realize that Cisco integrated all the 3 modules NIR, NIA and NAE into one, which is Network Insights now.
Being an early adopter of this product we have come a long way, from the days when we gave a hard time to our Cisco account management team for bugs and instability in the product, to a position wherein we have that advantage now of knowing and using this product to its fullest with all the new features and improved stability.
- Visibility - Fabric stats/counters, telemetry flows
- ACI Snapshot Tracking - EPOC management and delta on demand
- Understanding Impacts of Changes in ACI and Implementation
- Micro burst and buffer monitoring which becomes a very critical aspect of running Storage on IP in DataCenter environment.
- Flow Telemetry - Need to overcome the restrictions of 20000 flow/sec. No DataCenter is small enough to pump only 20K flows per second. And we want to use this product for proactive monitoring so we cannot decide on a small segment to monitor flow for beforehand.
- Creating tags and label for clubbing certain entities so that we can create customized dashboards to monitor and provide access to Operations team
- Scheduled Reports and Reporting capability is lacking
Configuration Tracking.
PISRT and Advisory Tracking.
Planning critical changes.
Performance measurement.
Root cause analysis and pin pointing at issues outside ACI Fabric

Rock solid
- I can manage all my data network center flow from one management application, which is great
- Simultaneously it helps a lot with automation
- Upgrading, backing up, and configuration is now easier
- The interface is a bit clunky and not refreshed to be modern/clean
- It’s a bit slow and lags at times
Useful Product, but a bit Pricey.
- The amount of clear, concise programable dashboards with information at the click of a button allows the end-user to quickly see trends in their infrastructure or take actions
- Basically, the fact that previous Cisco various services that were available have now been integrated into one single landing page.
- I love how easy it is to manage services
- Sometimes it is difficult to add some services
- No improvement areas found as of now, I'm still in the process of familiarizing myself with the dashboard
- Like all products, the Nexus dashboard will only get stronger with more revisions and versions.
