I'm a user of the Webex platform and Cisco Webex DX80 is one of the best video conferencing systems I could find. It has it all which makes it an all-in-one design. It provided a complete package for my meeting room, from high-quality video and integrated audio to the sleek touchscreen interface and high-end security features.

The biggest problem it solved for me is maintaining top-notch security while not compromising the features and video quality. Since it's backed up by Cisco's robust security protocol, I didn't have to worry about any security breach.
  • Provides High end Video quality
  • Integrated Audio is just amazing
  • Security is top of the line
  • High compatibility with other Cisco collaboration tools
  • The deployment can be a bit easier as it'll take a pro to do that
  • The camera quality is amazing but sometimes there's a jitter
  • The support staff takes a lot of time when contacted so that could be better
Cisco Webex DX80 is best for office conferences or training rooms. Also a good choice for educational purposes like classrooms, training rooms, and healthcare facilities.

Not a good choice for auditoriums I say. There are other and better options available in the market for that.

I use the DX80 daily as my Monitor, by Webex and other online meetings, and as a bigger Monitor for my Notebook and my tablet
  • easy to use
  • quick startup
  • easy to configure
  • maybe second wlan connection for devices
The use of the DX80 is well suited in all dailyy businesses and I used it when we build up a hall due the pandemic for meetings

I use Cisco Webex DX80 every time I have a Webex Meeting or any other meeting over the internet. The important thing here is that you can also use it as a collaboration tool but also as a monitor to extend your desktop, for example, so cool Webex and telepresence tools. Try it!
  • Webex Meeting
  • making calls
  • Telepresence
  • Touch controller calibration could be a challenge
  • You can’t use the camera like a normal web cam
  • When you use the adapter is HDMI to DVI and if you are gone for a few minutes the display goes dark. Refresh the display does not come back on easily.
Cisco Webex DX80 is well suited and very appropriate if you have a Telepresence scenario. Also helpful for home office workers because this worker can make calls and have meetings with you and your customer easily and confidently. This DX80 is the top-performance tool product. Less appropriate for end customers that not use Collaboration tools

I've been using the DX80 for meetings (Webex & MS Teams) and whiteboarding locally also to perform video test calls as I support Collaboration within my organization. Our Executives like these desktop systems for their personal use from their office or home offices. The biggest payoff and benefit is flexibility and having the ability to not utilize their laptops to conduct video calls by having this separate system inches away from their laptops.
  • Whiteboarding
  • Webex calling
  • Microsoft Teams calling (with CVI subscription)
  • SIP calls to any video endpoints that accept SIP
  • include Google Meet option to join meetings
have used this personal desktop video system for many years even before Cisco acquired Tandberg and highly recommend although there are newer versions out there.

The senior executives make use of it, and during the pandemic, when everyone is working remotely, the gadgets have become even more important. Diagnostic assistance in the form of the Cisco Webex DX80 is being utilized in order to aid with the debugging of VTC sessions.
  • The ability to wirelessly connect and share material.
  • When the device is in personal mode, all Webex meetings may be joined with a single tap.
  • Webex Teams interaction.
  • The ability to join other web conferencing sessions with a single click, such as MS Teams and Zoom, is available.
  • The ability to include more than the standard 5 or 6 speakers in a video recording.
  • Like the EX series before it, the Cisco Webex DX80 may be equipped with a hand set.
It is an excellent choice for a personal device if you want to bring an independent device to meetings and add it as a second display at the same time. I don't believe that there is nearly as much benefit in using anything in a shared environment or in shared mode. My opinion is that the Room Kits that include displays that can flip or be touched by Samsung are more suited for that.

In our team, the Cisco Webex DX80 is used as a desktop or small conference room alternative. With the inclusion of Webex as our primary means of meeting collaboration, the Cisco Webex DX80 has become an ideal choice for making meetings easier to join. This is owing to the fact that they were the first Webex endpoints, which were formerly known as Spark boards, and Cisco didn't build them in a way that would have allowed for future product updates.
  • The setup process is straightforward.
  • Easy to use.
  • Very good connection to Webex-registered endpoints.
  • An alternative monitor is provided.
  • Restrictions on the use of more sophisticated functions.
  • Newer products are better.
I prefer to use the Cisco Webex DX80 linked to an ethernet cable rather than WiFi since the internet signal quality is much higher with an ethernet connection. The built-in speakers deliver excellent sound clarity in high definition.

I use it for meetings and to test other video codecs customers are having issues with.
  • Connect with Webex registered endpoints very well
  • Connect with Microsoft Teams registered endpoints very well
  • Connect with Pexip registered endpoints very well
  • Being used as a second monitor
I think it is a very user friendly device.

My company is the largest company in the defense industry in Turkey. It is the flagship of the Turkish defense industry. DX80 is used by our senior managers, as a phone, as a Personal Video Conferencing Device, and as a PC monitor. So far, there have been no problems other than the conversion from Android to CE version. They cause NTP problems from time to time, but we think it's due to the firmware.
  • Successful image/video quality.
  • By adjusting the camera angle, transmitting the document image to both you and the other party in a readable way.
  • Can be used as a touch screen and also as a PC monitor.
  • Can be managed by Call Manager, TMS, VCS.
  • Easy and user-friendly.
  • In order to use the touch screen on a PC, a windows driver must be created.
  • On the web management screen, management and configuration in different languages should be provided.
  • Custom ringtone can be added.
It is a very successful device as a personal video conferencing and video phone. Very useful for internal use. In companies with private networks, perhaps by adding the VPN feature, B2B conversations can be made more secure. It must be usable with any telephone handset (wired or wireless). It usually has compatibility problems with different handset types other than Jabra.

We use the DX80 system-wide in our health system as an option for a desktop or very small conference room setting. The addition of Webex being our main source of meeting collaboration has made the DX80 a perfect option to simplify joining meetings.
  • Touchscreen
  • Wireless
  • Inexpensive
  • User friendly
  • The volume controls could be easier to see.
  • The mute button is not in the best spot.
  • A camera built into the display would help avoid damage.
  • A wall mounting bracket that is more universal would help.
These are not made for large settings, but work well in small offices.

We have some Cisco Webex DX80 units installed in small and medium-sized meeting rooms across the company. Our department uses the Cisco Webex DX80 to make immersive online meetings with excellent video and audio quality that give us the feeling of being in the same room with other people on the other side of the screen. The DX80 is compact and has a 23-inch screen with 1080p resolution with built-in speakers. I used to do department meetings with other branches of the company and also with customers and suppliers. The experience with this codec has been great for communication and collaboration and has a very beautiful design.
  • Large 24-inch monitor
  • Touchscreen
  • Full HD screen
  • Integrated speakers
  • High-quality Cisco warranty
  • The camera does not have a movable angle
  • It has an expensive value
The DX80 has a 23-inch Full HD monitor with touchscreen technology and I recommend it for small environments that require a portable or definitive videoconferencing equipment. The DX80 works very well on WiFi, but I prefer to use it connected to an ethernet cable to have a better internet signal quality. The built-in speakers have a great definition of sound in HD.

Presently we have deployed DX80s as video endpoints as personal use workstation devices for mid to upper management level user base. These have been in prod for more than 3 years now or for approximately that time frame ever since this product line was first used. The reason for the overall rating is because these were one of the earliest Webex endpoints, and, when first introduced were called Spark boards, and Cisco didn't design them intelligently enough to have the ability/capability for product enhancements due to significant hardware limitations. The newer product line is much better comparatively.
  • Easy to configure.
  • Easy to use.
  • Serves as an alternate monitor.
  • Limitations on advanced features.
  • Not as good as newer product line.
We are not buying any newer DX80s simply because even Cisco doesn't recommend these given the lack of advanced feature set due to hardware limitations.

We use DX80 in every C-level position in our company and offer DX80 in every collaboration project we sell, implement and support. Our main goal using DX80 in these projects is to enhance the meeting experience and make a stand point of the potential of the Webex platform.
  • Extends the desktop app
  • Perfect for a cheap huddle space
  • Great cost-benefit in projects (sometimes cheaper than iPhone)
  • Limited hardware
  • No headphone plug
  • Limited viwes layouts
I believe that every Webex project has room for DX80 meanwhile Deskpro doesn’t have an affordable substitute.

Cisco Webex DX80 is being used by multiple departments within the organization to facilitate both internal collaboration and meetings as well as external customer/partner-facing meetings and communication. It has been invaluable during the pandemic to keep our teams connected and deliver an "n-person-like experience when communicating with others.
  • Excellent audio/video quality
  • Connects as secondary monitor/speakers
  • Can be a desk or hard phone replacement
  • Resyncing service connectivity without the need to reboot the device
Perfect for the remote home office/teleworker who needs to collaborate internally and externally and perhaps doesn't want an additional phone on their desk. Well suited for people who are on meetings a lot and want to have something similar to a face-to-face with a high-quality and streamlined experience.

We use Cisco Webex DX80 for desk-side VC requirements where a whole room would be overkill. We're also using these in partners' homes.
  • It's super easy to use.
  • It looks nice.
  • Sound and video quality is great.
  • UI and performance are great.
  • Build quality is great.
  • No PSTN calling via Webex Calling sub
Cisco Webex DX80 is a great, easy to use video tool for home users and also on desks if the user is a frequent user of video calls. It's a shame that it doesn't currently support PSTN calling.

With the COVID-19 restrictions we suddenly needed a way to easily meet and collaborate from home. We were already using Cisco Teams so we decided to buy some DX80s to facilitate our staff working from home and enable them to participate in meeting and planning sessions with a great screen which also doubles as a 2nd display.
  • Easy of use is unsurpassed
  • Excellent video/audio, we used the dx80 for official video interviews
  • Whiteboarding and WebEx Teams integration is seemless
  • Lacking fancy features like background blurrying and MS Teams integration ( available on the desk pro device)
  • During setup the difference between registering the device as either s perdonal or room device wasn't clear untill I wasn't able to perform certain actions such as teansferring a meeting from mobile to dx80. I had to reset and re-register the device in room mode to get it to work as I expected.
Secondary screen with all the collaboration integration you could wish for.

The Cisco Webex DX80 is being used as a diagnostic tool that assists with troubleshooting VTC sessions.
  • Very clear screen
  • Audio is crisp
  • Easy to use; low learning curve
  • Add hand set to the DX80 like its predecessor, the EX series
  • Ability to text a person
  • Easier way to add a physical keyboard
Cisco Webex DX80 has dual-use convenience as a video communications device and an extra monitor. Having the ability to use Webex is a huge plus, as well. As time moves on, I get more and more Webex invites, which is a pretty good collaboration platform.

It is used primarily by senior executives and the devices have been made more essential during the pandemic with everyone working remotely.
  • Interaction with Webex Teams
  • Ability to connect and share content wirelessly
  • One-touch join for all Webex meetings when device is in personal mode
  • Option to one-touch join other web conferencing meetings like MS Teams, Zoom
  • Option to have more than the 5 or 6 speakers visible on video
It's great as a personal device if you want to have a standalone device for meetings and adding it as a 2nd monitor. I don't think there's as much value for use in a shared space and in shared mode. I think the Room Kits with the Samsung flip/touchscreen display are better suited for that.

Our Cisco Webex DX80s are used as a preferred desktop solution for our Major Command leadership and directorates on both secure and un-secure DoD networks. The DX80 provides versatility in video conferencing/communications that laptops w/cameras could not address. The DX80 allows commanders/directors the ease of full conferencing capabilities while remaining at their desks/offices/homes.
  • Ease of installation
  • Ease of operation
  • Reliability
  • Excellent audio and video quality
  • Adding or editing to contacts list
  • Remote muting of audio/microphone/video
  • Inability for the monitor to "swivel" left right/up/down
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we were tasked with connecting leadership with the ability to conference into secure/un-secure DoD meetings, while quarantining. The Cisco Webex DX80s provide the capabilities needed for full video conferencing while not taking up a large footprint on desks. The response was overwhelming and we were inundated for more DX80s.

DX80s are used for telehealth meetings as well as administration. With the increased need for social distance, these have provided alternatives to in-person meetings.
  • Size provides ability to fit any space
  • Camera quality is exceptional
  • Cost-effective
  • Ability to adjust screen layout
  • Connections on back are difficult to access
Physician to patient virtual visits are well suited for DX80 due to its small footprint and high video quality. The ability to connect a device like a stethoscope, however, is difficult.

It is primarily used for Cisco Webex Video conferencing and is used by mid-level to senior executives. Executives/Mid-level managers across Sales, Support, and Consulting use it today. The main problem it addresses is the ability to have high-quality video during conferences especially during COVID when the workforce has become largely distributed and we no longer work out of office even for our own internal meetings, let alone customer meetings.
  • Replacing physical phone for Webex conferences
  • High quality video conference initiation in push of a single button
  • Ability to collaborate through white-boarding for an ongoing meeting
  • Single platform device for end to end meeting needs
  • Support for Polycom inter-compatibility
  • Should be able to choose between multiple form factors on screen size
  • Should open up for non-Webex meetings as well
  • Bluetooth version needs to be upgraded to support multiple headsets
Cisco Webex DX80 is an easy to use, one-touch click device for executives to get into meetings. It is a platform in itself with the ability to do whiteboarding, content sharing while we are on the call and not just a pretty camera and high-resolution monitor. The fact that increasingly we all need Webex for all meetings including our own during COVID and the new normal makes this a compelling need also for mid-level managers.

Cisco Webex DX80 is used as a personal device for Webex Meetings and internal meetings. We can use it as a second screen and it can replace the speaker of the computer. The screen is pretty big with 1080p resolution and HDMI connection. The camera can flip automatically if we need to switch it to view a paper on the desk.
  • One button to push for meeting join
  • Good display
  • Simple to use and configure
  • The webengine feature is missing
  • No 4k display
  • Not easy to put the screen at a vertical without an incline
Cisco Webex DX80 is designed to use for 2-3 people maximum in front of it. If more try to use it, their faces will be cropped. It is not recommended to use in a large room but in a small briefing room. As all is bundled, it can be used on a cart for hospitality telemedecine.

The DX80 is currently being used by a couple of users in remote work scenarios resulting from the pandemic that we are currently facing. The unit allows for ease-of-use when participating in conferencing calls as well as collaboration with other team members. The DX 80 allows for whiteboarding and other tools that are used amongst the team. The entire system makes it very easy to use for any user.
  • Video conferencing
  • Whiteboarding
  • Dual purpose, being a computer monitor
  • Stylus or pen to use on the system
Cisco Webex DX80 is well suited for executive desk use, remote workers, and small collaboration rooms. A single user, up to three user rooms would be the max for this. It’s mainly designed for single person use but we have been using it in our small conference rooms of 4 users.

In my job as a Concierge Engineer, I support our customers by assisting them in setting up their Video Conference Meetings through our Concierge Service. I use Cisco Desk Endpoints (in my case, Cisco Webex DX80) as my personal unit, which I use to dial into the conference that I am setting up and assisting our Video Collaboration Customers with, to ensure that their meetings start without issues - such as Audio, Video and Presentation concerns.
  • Well made collaboration hardware
  • Easy to use and operate with its touch screen
  • Easily fits on my work station
  • Doubles as a second monitor for multi-tasking
  • Higher screen resolution
  • Better display panel (looks a little dull compared to dedicated monitors)
I would recommend it if the user requires video conferencing on his work station, or if the job role is similar to mine, where we assist video meetings. It makes it really simple, as it's on your desk and can be used as a monitor when not used as a video conferencing endpoint.

I would not recommend it for users who only casually use video conferencing, as there are far better displays and other software that may fit the need more, which are free or minimal cost.

This device is being placed in VP and above offices and now during COVID in their homes as well. We are also deploying these in to the homes of Webex "Power" users within our organization to keep the momentum going on Webex meetings adoption. This device is all over our org but only in a limited supply or about 100 or so throughout the entire company.
  • One touch to join Webex meetings.
  • Document camera helps share something physically in front of you.
  • It's a very nice second monitor and will share your screen very easily in the meeting.
  • It has Bluetooth, but not on the newest standards so some newer Bluetooth headsets will need an adapter plugged into the DX80 to allow them to work well.
  • Can only do Webex meetings, has no ability to "share" the webcam and the speakers/mic to the laptop to allow it to join other kinds of meetings via other platforms.
  • Monitor glass is VERY shiny so that can be difficult in bright or reflective environments.
This device is build for people who have offices. I would not use it in a public space but if you have a home office or office at the building this devices provides the same experience you are used to in Webex enabled conference rooms but at a personal level. The DX80 is sleek and looks very nice, has a great touchscreen interface and allows for anyone to user Webex in a very easy format.
