Teamwork Review
It is helpful in some aspects but very limited in others.
We use the software for time tracking, Planning, Gantt charts and assets management.
The cost tracking is hard since You cannot really add any file (scan or the invoice to be attached), so You have to do it elsewhere.
- It's a good tool to share the project plan with the clients
- Terrible Gantt chart in the browser - bugs all the time, in my opinion.
- no option to add the invoices (as a document) in costs, in my opinion
- the tasks view is so complicated that we had to use Trello to easy view the tasks
- complicated menu - hard to find anything, in my opinion
- it's very counterintuitive as a tool, in my opinion
Great option for flexible and fast paced teams with a handful of simultaneous projects.
- Task burn down tracking.
- Task and milestone progress and alerting.
- Team management tools.
- Project categorization.
- Accountability management.
- Performance of the interface - can be sluggish to respond due to how dense the product is.
- Centralized 2-factor authentication management for admins - Teamwork doesn't have a system that allows admins to easily see who has 2fa enabled and there are no controls to enforce 2fa.
- Project management
- Ease of deployment and usability
- Team collaboration through messaging.
- Budgeting for our projects.
- Planning for events and activities
- Enable us to prioritise urgent projects
- Assigning of tasks to teams.
- The teamwork software tool fully meets all of our projects management requirements as we expected, so my organization and I do not see any room it deserves improvement.
My experience with Teamwork Projects
- Timelines: are generated automatically since you have created the project, its activities, deadlines, etc. Is really helpful and easy to adjust.
- Notifications system: very flexible and complete. It is possible to set key activities and follow them to receive automated notifications about their changes. It is also very flexible to set permissions per project.
- Easy-to-use: it simply fits perfectly for us. Very easy-to-use and flexible. It can be used by small or big companies. It is intuitive and complete at the same time.
- We miss the feature to set a calendar of business days and holidays to make it easier the definition of timelines.
- The feature to define dates/deadlines per activity is a bit confusing. We believe it could be improved altough it has a low impact in terms of productivity.
- We believe the solution could improve in the future the functionality to manage the workload of each human resource (for planning). It is actually a bit superficial and we understand there is space for improvement in this area.
Effectiveness of Teamwork projects
- Project compilation in sub projects
- Effective reporting timelines physically vs planned hence it declared actual responsible or delayings.
- Reporting related to Cost working, workmen working thier deputation can be obtained in projects and sub projects even in further functions.
- Visualization needs to be improved, charts graphs are limited
- Value stream mapping should be available to determine and prioritize the work.
- Documentation should be available stepwise with export and printable facility.
- It should be configurable like ERP with cross functionalities of different users, where users login, assign and approve the work, job or project details, where it should be collectively effected on a project.
- Add many examples, little more AI, Machine learning required for suggestion and recommendation. It would be a plus point
Teamwork Projects Review
- I am a believer that simple and easy should be the key to create great opportunities.
- Teamwork has helped me to turn simple task management into the execution of large, massive projects.
- It has certainly worked great in helping to maintain workflow in my department.
- No software has been as easy to use as this one, so I have no problem with Teamwork Projects.
- Collaboration is simplified
- It is easy to find information and access important data
- Document management
- Instant messaging
- Doesn't work in offline mode
- Small organizations might find it a little expensive
- Teamwork Projects is intuitive and flexible tool to use in any kind of organization.
- It is easy to make adjustments in our timelines.
- Locating information is also fast.
- The easy to use dashboard is important for viewing the progress of projects and individuals.
- The pricing can be adjusted to suit small organizations.
Teamwork Projects Helps Streamline You Work
- Project templates are a huge asset so we don't have to recreate projects from scratch
- Calendar is great for keeping track of company holidays, employees that are off, and project due dates
- The ability for employees to track their time via clocking in and out for the day and tracking time for specific tasks for invoicing purposes is great
- Have had problems copying task template from one of our template projects
- When I open smaller windows, like for selecting who will be notified for a message, the bottom half of the window is usually below the screen cut off, so I have to move it up manually each time to get to the "update" button
The best project management app on the market
- Task Management - You can manage tasks in many ways. Standard list of tasks, gantt, and kanban to name a few.
- Charting and reporting - Being able to see all of your projects in a parallel view to properly schedule staff labor and not create bottlenecks.
- Include outside companies - you can invite outside users like vendors or contractors at no additional cost.
- The pricing plans have changed quite a bit in the last two years and they have become considerably more expensive.
- The calendar view could be improved so that someone who is entirely calendar oriented could have more functionality in the system.
- Kanban automations could be improved a little bit to give more functionality.
Great Project Management Tool Online
- It has a free version that can accommodate limited needs and of-course you can test it for free before subscribing to a paid version.
- It's very much user friendly and everyone can understand it without any tutorials.
- It is available on Mobile as well as computer desktop version.
- There pricing needs to be more flexible in order to accommodate small businesses or entrepreneurs.
- They need to improve their customer support and their response time especially on emails. Free version users are their prospective customers so they need to focus more on them and respond to their queries promptly.
User friendly & efficient!
- Managing tasks & projects
- Assigning people to a task & monitoring the progress
- Managing timelines
- none that I have found
Teamwork makes training easy
- Intuitive dashboards.
- Very easy to learn.
- Easy to modify and make updates.
- More customizable labeling of fields.
- Better group chat or messaging feature like Discord.
- Easier to share team files.
- Teamwork Projects channels all the objectives outlined in advanced projects.
- It is intuitive and provides an environment where my colleagues and I can organize and perform our tasks; I often use it very quickly.
- It requires very few resources for its operation; you do not need an excellent computer to carry out a good work process.
- The increase in team performance due to the ability to streamline people's processes is by Teamwork Projects.
- I am not happy with the errors occasionally when running the application; it is not pleasant to interrupt while doing meaningful work.
Teamwork is great for collaboration and is a tool your team will actually enjoy using!
- It's easy to upload and view documents, especially when you need to refer back to them later.
- It's GREAT to have the chat threads right in the project. I can't tell you how many times I've gone back and searched for a specific client response, and it's way easier than email since the whole team can see it, even if they weren't included in the thread originally (no digging through emails and forwarding them to people who weren't originally included)!
- It's really easy to get in there and get started. While we're very familiar with it, each client we introduce to it is new to it, so it's important that they can get started right away and not get tripped up by the tool itself. Teamwork really streamlines the onboarding process--you can literally get started using the tool right away.
- I never use the dashboard view, which isn't necessarily a con, and I don't have specific recommendations, but perhaps there's a way to make that more useful.
- Sometimes it gets a little confusing about where a comment is. Did the person comment on a file that was uploaded? A thread? Somewhere else? Even then, though, you can usually search to find it, so that's not a real complaint.
- Design of new products (teams of 5-10 engineers).
- Manufacture of products (team of 40 production/assembly staff).
- Great for managing tasks over multiple projects.
- Prioritizing tasks from different projects relative to each other.
- Not great for communication: We integrate with MS Teams and it is working well.
- Can be slow to load when there are lots of tasks are in a project (50+ tasks in a Gantt chart it starts to break).
Centralized, Cloud-based Project Management within a few clicks
- Time Tracking feature. Available in both Desktop (web-based) and Mobile (native app) versions, it's very handy for keeping track of time employed on tasks related to a project in particular.
- Reporting feature. Reports in Teamwork are surprisingly easy to make and very comprehensive in the information they convey. And each project has their own dashboard in the Overview tab, giving PMs a quick glimpse of the projects being managed.
- Project handling. Every project has features (tasks, messages, time, risks, billing, milestones, files, notebooks, links and comments) that can be turned on and off individually depending on the project class, adding more flexibility to project management.
- Integrations with third-party solutions. Despite integrating with some well-known ones, such as Dropbox, Google, OneDrive and Microsoft Office 365, it still lacks integrations with major CRMs such as Vtiger, ZOHO CRM and Freshsales, to name a few.
- Customization options. It's always nice to have a CSS template option to give customers the capability of creating their own Teamwork sites.
- 2FA authentication. It's a long shot, but some projects are very sensitive or confidential, so adding a two-step verification option to current authentication features (it does offer SSO) will be a nice-to-have feature.
Teamwork makes the dream work
- Teamwork allows you to split up a project by task lists. This helps you see the nitty-gritty of what needs to be done.
- Teamwork has a "milestone" feature so that you can see the larger picture and the core steps to take to complete the project.
- Teamwork allows you to track time on a task-by-task basis so that you can show clients more detailed reports.
- Although the time tracking feature is great, it doesn't sync with QuickBooks, which complicates things a bit.
- Unless you have the setting JUST right, you will get an email about EVERYTHING.
- Moving milestones is easy once you learn it, but until then it can be very messy and complicated.
Not that great
- It's allowed us to see each project zoomed out as well as zoomed in.
- We've been able to see the different layers that go into each project.
- I wish I could upload and connect other documents that are part of the project on this platform.
- The Gantt chart is the most helpful tool for us, not the rest.
Project and Task Automation, just a click away
- Entirely cloud-based, always available on any browser-equipped device
- Time tracking per project and task
- Multiple views for project tasks, including list, Gantt Chart and Kanban Board.
- A more robust integration platform with third-party products
- A more robust mobile native application
- Better guides and how-tos, even full-fledged courses.
Become more efficient with Teamwork Projects
- Easy to use - clean interface, intuitive.
- Great features - notifications, task assignments.
- Reporting
Slow but steady wins the race
- Capturing details.
- Ensuring process is followed.
- Time consuming to set-up.
- Confusing interface.
- Create team members and assign tasks
- Track comments and feedback from clients and create tasks with deadlines
- Organize project management workflows and keep projects on track
- Communicate project/task status with clients and internal team members
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure project success
- The UI/UX is less than stellar. It has most of the basic functionality you need, but it is not as slick as it could be.
- Reporting feature could use more ability to really customize the reports
- It is a great project collaboration tool, but it isn't specialized to any particular type of project. While its one size fits all approach makes it flexible, it also lacks some specific web development functionality we ultimately needed
