What is Shape Software?

Shape Software aims to help users manage their business in one easy to use software. Shape's cloud-based CRM, Sales Management, and Marketing Automation tools offer multiple features designed to manage and automate online marketing and promotions via email and SMS, capture and service leads from online sources, organize sales pipelines, nurture prospects and customers, create and send professional online documents, accept online payments, run custom reporting, and automate everyday admin tasks.

Shape's collaboration tools help facilitate project information sharing within and across departments and user roles keep sensitive business data private. Shape includes a centralized repository to store and manage prospects, accounts, contacts, documents, photos, billing and transactions and e-signature agreements in one place.

Shape’s customizable dashboard enables users to keep track of department-specific performance analytics and explore business-relevant trends through powerful data insights. Additional features include call scripting, drip campaign automation, SMS messaging, task scheduling, reporting, etc.

Shape is available on a per user per month subscription with no annual contracts and offers customer support via phone and email. Custom account setups are also available upon request.

We use shape to aggregate paid media spend from all platforms and pace that spend to meet client budgets. We also use it to provide budget-related notifications and warnings to make sure there is plenty of visibility on the team when it comes to each client's budget.

  • Automated budget pacing could be more sophisticated - it tends to conflict with platform best-practices in my opinion.
  • Integration with LinkedIn leads would give more accurate picture of conversion volume I believe.

Shape Software is well suited when using "mainstream" ad platforms that have robust integrations. It also works well when budgets are set less frequently and are allowed to run unchanged for a set period of time. Shape Software gets less accurate when frequent budget changes need to be made and when using ad platforms with little to no support built into Shape Software.

Shape Software is very user-friendly and easy to set up. The controls and settings are very straightforward and the core functions (onboarding new accounts, creating new budgets, managing budgets, etc) are easily understood. The customizable alerts and budget intervals provide modularity for different situations and provide significant peace-of-mind. The automations are less impressive in that they generally conflict with ad platform automation in my opinion. Automated bidding and budgeting is hindered by third-party automations like Shape Software and the performance Shape Software features provide doesn't justify forgoing that technology in the ad platforms in my opinion.
Shape Software is very easy to set up and use. The core functions and features require little explanation. The options and settings are easy to find and the capabilities of the platform are apparent to the user after just a few minutes of use.
